Hospital Mexico Hoping to Repair the Plumbing System
At the Hospital Mexico, patients who are being treated in the surgical intensive care unit were forced to transfer due to a flood of sewage. Consequently, the hospital is planning to replace their plumbing and electrical wiring by next year.
“The hospital’s pipes are very old and require repair, same with the electrical system, and events like last week’s should help force decisions and get the necessary resources. In addition, we are placing signs in the restrooms so that people know to deposit [toilet paper] in waste baskets,” said Hospital Director, Dr. Douglas Montero.
According to the hospital director, the pipes are too old which is why replacement is very much needed. Last week’s event helped force the hospital’s decisions and get the necessary resources.
