Plumbing Upgrade Forced Local Citizens to Use Portable Toilets
The Riverwest subdivision is undergoing a sewer upgrade this week, and this plumbing task has proven to be a very noisy and troublesome one for the residents.
In line with this, several portable toilets and hand wash stations were provided by the plumbing contractor. This is in response to the many complaints of residents of N. Humboldt Avenue who were asked to use their own home sewers in moderation until the project finishes. Reasons for complaints sparked up due to stopped up toilets, clogged drains, and other plumbing issues.
Because some residents just can’t take the hustle and bustle of the plumbing project, they decided to stay in hotels or leave the neighborhood until the upgrade finishes. A printed notice was given to the residents asking them to ‘only use the toilet when absolutely necessary as well as discontinue machines using water such as dish washers’.
