Simple and Easy Home Drainage Unclogging Tips
A clogged drain and sink is one of those few things that require immediate attention. They’re also one of the many things that, when left unattended for quite some time, will cause annoying plumbing problems.
Unclogging drains and sinks isn’t always an easy task. But before you hurriedly call a plumber, maybe the tips below can help you.
- The easiest solution you can apply, considerably, is flushing boiling water onto the drain. While this doesn’t thoroughly unclog grease blocks, it can still clear the mess with less effort. Wait for a couple of minutes to be sure the sink has been fully drained before flushing with tap water.
- Never use boiling water on PVS pipes as it will only melt the pipes. Water temperature should be less than 175 Fahrenheit degrees so it can be used on PVS pipes; hot water is enough. Metal, on the other hand, is best handled with boiling water.
- Small clogs can be solved with the use of a drain snake. You can either make or buy a pre-made one at a local store.
