Care to Try Out High-Tech Public Toilets?
It seems conventional public toilets will soon be a thing of the past. Plans and talks for installing very modern public bathrooms in Pioneer Square, Seattle are currently on-going. Although some city leaders oppose this, many believe this will be a great development especially from a miserable failure years ago.
Public urination is a daily scourge for Pioneer Square business owners. With no public restrooms in the area, the homeless have little choice where to go. City leaders think they’ve found a high-tech solution in the form of what’s called “the Portland Loo.” Seven of the bathrooms have been installed in Oregon’s largest city and, by all accounts, they’ve been a huge success.
