Consumers Cutting Back on Costs of Bathroom Fixtures
Back when times were easier, people cared a lot more about the appearance of their bathrooms, fussing over colors, designs and materials of fixtures. Nowadays, people have grown a lot more practical, choosing and prioritizing functions and price over appearance.
“Before, a lot of my customers were asking for vessel sinks—now they are going for ways they can save money,” says Joseph Emanuel, owner and operator of Emanuel Plumbing & Heating Co. in Philadelphia, Pa. Another expert also adds that more than anything, clients want efficiency of operation, minimal maintenance and water conservation—“but they still want it to look nice.”
However, it is vital when looking for cheaper alternatives to know the difference between good quality fixtures and junk. Some owners may cut corners but will only suffer in the future.
