Addressing the Most Common Plumbing Problems
Plumbing problems exempt no one, regardless of status, location, race, and gender. They happen, more often than not, at times when household members least expect them. The question is, ‘Do you know how to address common plumbing issues?’
Take into mind the following tips to help you.
- Bursting pipes are common problems during winter. Pipes that are located outside are the ones most likely to burst when water freezes. Figure out which ones are outside, not insulated, and exposed to cold weather. Insulate or add electric heat tapes on these pipes and turn of the main water shutoff valve when going on a vacation.
- A clogged drain is another common plumbing issue because of fat and food buildup. Hair strands and soap residue clog bathroom drains most of the time. Avoid this from recurring regularly by adding strainers to the kitchen and bathroom sinks. Refrain from using chemical unclogging products as much as possible.
