House Drainage Problem Lead to Homeowner’s Accident
Nancy Medina, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, has gotten into an accident while she was clearing curbs of mud and water. While she was doing her usual chores, she slipped and fell very hard.
She said, “My knee still hurts. My foot still hurts. The worst is the ribs if I move a certain way or take too deep of breath, it really hurts.” The family only recently discovered that their house of ten years has already a faulty under-drainage system.
And as a response to prevent other accidents from happening to passersby and neighboring residents, the city placed barricades where a wash out can be found. In line with this issue, the city promised to give $93,000 for repair but the final decision is still underway.
The Medina family and their neighbors hope that the hazards – fungi, mosquitoes, and standing water – be addressed as soon as possible by the city. Further information on this unfortunate event can be read here.
